Sponsored by the IFA Educational Foundation and the PepsiCo Foundation, the VetFran Business Grant Fund will provide financial grants (up to $10,000 per grant) to qualified VetFran franchisees/candidates.
The IFA Educational Foundation and the PepsiCo Foundation have established the VetFran Business Grant Fund. The purpose of the fund is to assist veterans who have been awarded a franchise through the IFA VetFran program by providing financial grants for business development, education, training, and/or technical assistance. The fund will provide financial grants (up to $10,000 per grant) to qualified VetFran franchisees/candidates.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the grant, candidates must have been awarded a franchise from a VetFran participating company. Candidates must have met all the requirements as candidates under the guidelines of the VetFran program, including having received an honorable discharge from any branch of the U.S. military or Coast Guard. Candidates must have a signed franchise agreement and must have at least one unit in operation, or a letter from their franchisor confirming the ˇ°opening storeˇ± schedule. What Can The Grant Pay For?
The financial grant (up to a maximum of $10,000) may be used for business development, education, training, technical assistance, the purchase of equipment, and products or services necessary for the operation of the business. The grant must be used for a business purpose. The grant may not be used for compensation to the franchisee or relatives of the franchisee who may be employed in the business. The grant may not be used for compensation or salaries to employees of the business.
How Do You Get Started?
Complete the application form and submit it to the IFA Educational Foundation. Candidates must provide the application form and supporting materials. Applicants for grants will be evaluated based on merit and need.
